In a moderated conversation led by Alicia Kurji, Dr El-Nur Danani and Dr Hussein Rashid reflected on the books central argument: that Islam is best understood through the diverse ways Muslims live and express faith across cultures, histories, and artistic traditions. Drawing on examples from poetry, music, calligraphy, and visual culture, the speakers highlighted how Dr Asanis approach challenges simplistic definitions of Islam and invites audiences to engage with Muslim life through context, nuance, and religious literacy.
